"Nathan Brown did something Tuesday that will forever connect him to the strong tradition of the Terry Sanford baseball program.

(Excerpts from Rod Baxley's Article)

In the Bulldogs’ 8-0 win at Pine Forest High School, Brown pitched a no-hitter with 17 strikeouts to help Terry Sanford lock up the regular-season title in the All-American Conference.

But as Brown made his way to the mound in the bottom of the seventh inning, he heard a broad statement from his teammates: “Let’s finish it right here.”

And he had plenty of support from them at the plate. Cameron Seagroves led that effort with a pair of hits and Drew Kittinger added two RBIs to lead the Bulldogs, who had runs in each of the final three innings.

Guy said, "That’s not the only goal, but tradition doesn’t just happen. … The guys come in and they work. It’s a lot that I ask them to do, but they come to work every day.”
